Drum Corps International
Drum Corp International - Modern junior drum and bugle corps (“drum corps” for short) are independent youth organizations made up of up to 135 14- to 22-year-olds who spend the summer rehearsing and performing an 11-minute show in which they play a variety of horns or percussion instruments, or spin flags, rifles, sabres, and other implements, all while marching around a football field.

Winter Guard International Percussion - Indoor Percussion has evolved into its own unique artform. 2008 marked the 15th season for World Championships for percussion division of WGI. Percussion ensembles perform mature percussion literature, and sometimes involve intracate sets and costumes all presented within the context of a musical message communicated by drums and mallet keyboards.

Thom Hannum has long been regarded as one of the nation's foremost percussion arrangers, instructors, and clinicians having presented numerous seminars and workshops throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, and Southeast Asia. He is best known for his work with the DCI World Champion Cadets of Bergen County and Star of Indiana. Thom is a member of the design team for the Tony Award Winning show Blast! as well as CyberJam. In the summer of 2001, Mr. Hannum was selected for induction into the DCI Hall of Fame.
