Summer Rehearsals

Summer rehearsals are completely voluntary, however every percussionist is encouraged to come and participate. These rehearsals will be especially valuable for players who wish to improve their skills before the upcoming marching band season.

The schedule below indicates which sections will be "officially" having rehearsal on each date. These sections only will be the focus of instruction on that day, but everyone who is able is welcome to come and practice independently on that day. I highly encourage you to do so.

This schedule is still subject to change pending final personnel assignments and possible schedule conflicts.

Drum Corp International Events

Usually, I post DCI events that are within a few hours drive of Atlanta. Unfortunately there are not many shows this year that are close by that do not conflict with our camps. However, if you're traveliing this summer, you might want to check the DCI event schedule and catch a show that might be happening in an area where you are traveling.

Drumline Camp

Monday, July 26 – Friday, July 30
8:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Saturday, July 31 is the DCI Southeastern Championship. Drumline members will attend the show, which should beging mid-afternoon. Drumline will go to band camp for the first part of the day, then travel midday to the Georgia Dome for the event. Tickets for the event are $55.00 and will be pruchased this spriing. Deadline for payment will be announced soon, but you may begin turning in your money for the show at any time.

Band Camp

Saturday, July 31 – Thursday, August 5
8:30 AM to 7:30 PM

Tuesday, August 10 & Wednesday, August 11
8:30 AM to 4:00 PM

*** Additional Performance – For the last two years, the drumline and colorguard has performed at the College Park Arts Festival. We will most likely be invited to do so again this year. The date for this year’s festival is Saturday, September 25th. Times are generally between 10am and noon. More details will be provided later, but please mark you calendar for this potential performance.
